Jiminy Peak Race Team Weekly Update - Week 7 Edition
The first holiday weekend is upon us and it will most certainly be busy on the mountain this weekend. We ask all of our racers to be overly respectful of the SLOW ZONES and to be courteous to the many non-racers that we will see on the mountain and in the lodge.
Friday, January 5
U18/U16/U14/U12: Meet coaches on Crane Patio at 5PM ready to ski; SL skis and protective equipment recommended - will likely have a short SL course set up on Ex East. Coaches Andrew and Dan will be working with the U18 and U16s; Coaches Megan and Dave will be working with U14 and U12 athletes. Those arriving after 5PM should wait at the TOP of the Berkshire Express lift to meet up with the appropriate group. Friday session will wrap at 8PM.
Saturday, January 6
U18: Meet coaches at top of Exhibition East at 8:55 AM prepared to ski slalom gates; SL skis and protective gear recommended
U16: SL RACE at Mt Southington - race day logistics to be communicated separately; those not racing should follow U18 plan.
U14: Meet coaches on ACE OF SPADES at 9AM ready to ski slalom gates; SL skis and protective gear recommended.
U12: Meet coaches on ACE OF SPADES at 9AM ready to ski slalom gates; SL skis and protective gear recommended
U10: Meet coaches on Crane Patio at 9AM ready to ski for coach directed free-skiing and drills
U8: Meet coaches on Crane Patio at 9AM ready to ski for coach directed free-skiing and drills
Sunday, January 7
U18: Meet coaches at top of Exhibition East at 8:55AM prepared to ski GIANT SLALOM gates; GS skis and gear recommended

U10: Meet coaches on Crane Patio at 9AM ready to ski for coach directed free-skiing and drills

Sunday Afternoon Tuning Clinic - Coach Sasha will be conducting a tuning clinic on Sunday afternoon (after training - expect to begin at approximately 3PM) in the coaches room (Crane Lodge Lower Level) - We cannot overemphasize the importance of tuned skis!
